PETS ARE FAMILY NOT CARGO BOXES AND WILL NEVER BE TREATED THAT WAY
I hold a USDA Class T carrier license along with licenses in Pet Services, and Animal Handler. Training, walking, caring, and just hanging out with dogs is just something I totally love. I have transported 100’s from local taxi trips to coast-to-coast journeys. The old saying of “Dogs are a man’s best Friend” holds true. We all become friends, and the journey becomes enjoyable for me and your dog. My genuine love for dogs will show when I am transporting yours.
Our exclusive one on one transport for your dog or family of pets only is the ultimate pet transport service. They will travel in the comfort of climate control and have a lot of personal attention along the journey. Plenty of out of crate time, playtime, and walks. Your pets will become my new friends.
All cats and kittens will travel in their own custom crates will extra room to roam, liter box, food, and water.
Cats and kittens will always be secured in crate during the transport.
To help set you at ease and add an extra layer of safety we will provide to you our travel route plan. This will include our planned travel route, nightly stops, and anything else that would be important. You will receive a GPS tracking link so you can monitor our travel location at all times.
To keep your pet comfortable we travel in SUV vehicles. Temperature is monitored in back of vehicle along with inside the crate at all times. For extreme temperatures at nighttime a hotel room is secured for the comfort of all of us for a safe night's rest.
While the wheels are turning most will ride crated for their safety and mine. In most cases I use hard plastic or high impact crates with cushion inside for comfortable traveling. Some dogs on occasion can be secured to back seat. Keep in mind that how your pup rides with you to the dog park down the street and a long distance ride with a stranger is different.
We ask that all adult dogs have a harness for walking. My preference is the style above. Easy to put on and I like the handle for assisting in and out of the vehicle. All dogs are walked with a double leash for security and control of your dog. I understand that some dogs are great walkers but we take all the precautions to keep dog safe and secure.
Upon pickup of your pets, we will attach a GPS Tracking Device and Lost Dog Tag. In the unlikely event dog gets loose I will personally be able to track dogs' location.
You will be provided with many photos and updates all along our journey. Communication is easy now so lets take advantage. Currently I use my Facebook Page for live videos. Other photos, videos, and updates will be sent to you. Your phone calls to check up on us are always welcome.
"I hope to help you be at ease during our trip."
For safety reasons we just do not travel in any dangerous weather. Bad driving conditions could cause delays in our travel. We just stop and hang out until weather system passes and roads are safe. Weather is always monitored on our route plan.
Your dog's safety, happiness, and well-being will always be my first priority. I understand that this is not a box, it’s your family member. The trip is very hard on them so I will spend a lot of one-on-one time with them to help them through the trip to their new life. While the wheels are turning dogs are in their own crates. I will provide plenty of breaks, walks, normal feedings, water, and playtime. Dogs are walked with a harness and extra leach for safety reasons. There are some good parks around so some will get to run some energy out while on breaks. All cats are set up in their own crate with a litter box. They will always have food and water but unfortunately, they will always stay in the crate. Basic travel plan of 600 miles per day. Stopping about every 3 hrs. for breaks and walks with night rest from about 11pm to 6am. Evening rest could be at rest areas, travel centers, or motels. It varies depending on different variables on the road.
The 3 most important things about picking up a dog I have never met is:
Trust * Trust * Trust
In most cases trust has to be earned. I understand that with most dogs trust has to be earned. Maybe we will take a walk. Maybe just take some extra time and move slow. Maybe dog just loves everybody. What is true that they are scared. I will take that extra step to earn their trust.
I believe the first 3 hours of a long journey is the most important for the dog's well-being. They have no clue what's going on and build fear and anxiety fast. I stop many times in the beginning to help develop trust for the dog. This time investment really makes a difference in the dog's overall state.
Our journey on the road starts from the first meeting and picking up dog. First impression is everything and I start working on friendship and trust from the first minute. Once dogs realize somethings different our friendship becomes vital. The fear sets in. This is the time I have to earn their trust. They start to understand that walks and breaks are fun. They understand they are safe. I love them and they soon will trust and love me. Some take longer to adjust but all do by the end. I do my best to keep day and night normal. We all eat together or at least try. Walks are app. every 3-4 hours. I look for safe places to walk away from highways, people, and other dogs. There are a few dog parks here and there that I might let them run a little. Nighttime sleep can vary. Sometimes rest areas, sometimes travel centers, and even motels. Many times, dogs sleep out of crate if they choose. I do get attached to many dogs and that's ok for both of us.
Most dogs love those walks. Once they settle in they look forward to getting out and walking. While traveling they build up lots of anxiety from all the unknown so these walks are vital. When I find good parks I make an effort to get some exercise in. Most cases they get out about every 3 hours.
I will maintain their normal feeding habits with their food. Sometimes dogs do not eat much during the trip which is normal. On the road dogs will drink more water than normal. I give them all the water they want.
Note: Due to possible sickness feed very minimal the day of pickup
Adorable yes. I understand they still are babies. The USDA states a minimum of 8 weeks old. Some breeders cannot wait to shove them out the door. Personally like to see 10-12 weeks old. Nevertheless, they are babies that are scared to death. They get lots of extra love. Lots of holding and playing. Due to illnesses any puppy I transport never hits the ground. Play time stays inside the vehicle. They potty on pads within the crate. I always maintain a clean crate.
It's unfortunate but about half of dogs and mostly puppies develop car sickness in the early parts of a trip. Like I stated in the beginning part of any trip I stop a lot. If this happens, we take it slow to help them get through it. They all do fine with lots of water and some extra love. I do have 24/7 on call Vet Service if needed.
Any dog that needs extra care along a trip from meds to special handling will get it. If I am not qualified to maintain 100% I will be honest and not do the transport.
I use no medication that is not ordered by your Vet.
The most important time for all of us. Dogs can sleep outside of the crate if they choose. Some like the front seat. Some on their on spot in the back. More times than not the friendship is born. In some cases we are at a motel and most choose the bed. Best time of any trip.
Shot records, traveling health certification, and proof of age are required for transport. For mature dogs I would like a harness for walking. Dogs need to be free of fleas, clean, and show no aggression at all. I provide crates and all general supplies. I ask that you provide a little of the food they have been eating. Any pickups from breeders or shelters you must have all business finalized between you and them. Puppies and kittens must be at least 8 weeks old. Due to safety and illness, puppies that I transport never hit the ground. I maintain a very clean crate for them and get them out for crate breaks. Hold and playtime is provided.
OUR SAFETY AND YOUR PETS WELL-BEING IS MY #1 PRIORITY
I understand this is a very hard process to choose and trust a transporter. I will do all I can to help you through this process and earn your trust. I do offer a ride share at a discounted rate but prefer one on one transports. If you are looking for a budget price with pets stacked all over a cargo van, that's not me. I believe in true care for your pets. Feel free to contact us for your upcoming transport.
